'The Four Seasons'

The natural elements, already a significant feature of baroque art, are included in an intelligent and playful way. Nature moulded by man's creativity became the ideal. It is not left to itself but - as shown here - interwoven into the exuberance of the baroque. Based on this general concept the tiniest details take on great significance. The curvilinear shapes and ornate decoration of the basic form create an impression of fantastical unreality.

The' Four Seasons' are intended to evoke the infinite harmony between creator and created,

between God and the world.
